The African Football Confederation (CAF) has officially reached an unprecedented milestone for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) Morocco 2025: 20 media rights agreements covering more than 30 European territories. This expansion confirms the growing appeal of the competition and enhances its visibility among millions of viewers, particularly within African diasporas across the continent.
In detail, CAF continues its partnership with Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, marking a first with the free-to-air broadcast of all 52 matches, and announces a new partnership in Spain with Movistar. It has also secured an agreement with the public broadcaster ERT in Greece, marking the return of comprehensive national coverage, while the competition will be broadcast for the first time free-to-air in Norway via VGTV. Meanwhile, Sport Italia and Ziggo (Netherlands) are expected to further amplify the audience, and SportDigital aims to continue the momentum in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
The CAN Morocco 2025 will kick off on Sunday, December 21, 2025, bringing together 24 teams for 52 matches across nine stadiums. For CAF, these agreements represent a major step in its strategy: to broaden access to the competition, strengthen its commercial value, and support the rise of African football on the international stage.
