Moroccan winger Bilal Ould-Chikh has joined Egyptian giants Zamalek as a free agent, a great addition to the Cairo team and a move that would mark a significant new chapter in the Moroccan player well-traveled career.
The 27-year-old player, who became a free agent on July 1, 2025, attracted attention from many clubs, but he chose Zamalek as his next destination. He is expected to be introduced in the coming hours.
Bilal Ould-Chikh’s career began in the youth systems of Dutch clubs Willem II and FC Twente, making his senior debut with Twente in 2014. He then moved to Portugal, spending five seasons with Benfica, largely playing for their reserve team. After his time in Portugal, he returned to the Netherlands to play for FC Utrecht and Jong Utrecht, and later ADO Den Haag, also having a spell in Turkey with Denizlispor.
Most recently, Ould-Chikh has been a prominent figure at FC Volendam in the Netherlands, where he played a key role in their recent promotion to the Eredivisie, including a strong showing in the Eerste Divisie. Now, as he seeks a new challenge, a move to Zamalek presents an exciting opportunity for the Moroccan wide player to showcase his abilities on the African continent and add to his diverse club history.
Having previously represented Morocco U20, the Moroccan international has decided to leave the Netherlands due to experiences with Islamophobia. He has also stated his intention to relocate to Morocco upon his retirement from football.
