Bilal Nadir, the young midfielder of Olympique de Marseille, has extended his contract with the Phocéen club until 2026. The 20-year-old player, who underwent knee surgery five weeks ago, expressed feeling ‘relieved and very happy’ to continue his journey with Marseille.
In an interview with OM’s official website, Nadir expressed relief and joy after extending his contract. ‘I am relieved and very happy to continue the adventure with Olympique de Marseille,’ he stated. ‘My contract was coming to an end, putting me in a delicate position. It’s a significant show of trust from the Club to extend my contract, and I want to thank the executives.’
Nadir reflected on his knee injury from five weeks ago. ‘The news of my injury was complicated. I had to digest it,’ he shared. ‘I quickly isolated myself and am fortunate to be surrounded by a great team. I knew it would be a long-term injury. I had surgery a few weeks ago, and today, it’s progressing slowly.’
The young midfielder is already looking towards the future and expresses his ambitions for the next chapter of his journey with OM. ‘It’s a great pride to continue my adventure with OM, and the trust bestowed by the club motivates me even more to come back stronger and contribute in the future,’ he declared.
