Betis–Amrabat: the club has not given up

According to the Spanish press, Real Betis has not closed the door on a continuation of Sofyan Amrabat beyond this season, despite a complex situation both financially and sportingly. The Moroccan midfielder is on loan from Fenerbahçe until June 30, 2026, and Sevilla is still exploring possible options (new loan or purchase) to avoid a complete break at the end of the season.

A significant gap between Betis’s idea and Fenerbahçe’s demands

On the economic side, several reports indicate a valuation gap: Betis could align around €7 million in an initial approach, while Fenerbahçe is aiming for around €15 million to seriously open discussions. These amounts are linked to information attributed, from the Spanish side, to a Turkish journalist following Fenerbahçe’s news, and are reflected in the handling of the case.

The medical element weighs in, but does not erase interest

The timing is inevitably influenced by the player’s physical condition: at the end of January, Amrabat underwent ankle surgery (arthroscopy) and his return is expected around the end of March, which could impact final decisions (form, rhythm, sporting projection) without automatically meaning a disengagement from Betis.

Plan B monitored, but not a “relinquishment”

In this context, the sporting management is anticipating: alternative profiles are being monitored in case retaining Amrabat becomes impossible, which resembles more of a risk management strategy than an abandonment of the case.
