Benfica Eyes Loan Move for Brahim Díaz

The transfer market is heating up, and Benfica could be a major player in the coming days. According to reports from CNN Portugal, the Lisbon club is showing strong interest in Brahim Díaz, the attacking midfielder from Real Madrid.

Benfica is trying to leverage its good relationship with the Madrid club to finalize the deal. The Portuguese club’s management would prefer a loan for Brahim Díaz until the end of the season, a formula that could work for Real Madrid.

With an impressive record of eight goals and two assists in just ten caps with the Atlas Lions, the Moroccan international could find the playing time in Lisbon that he has sometimes lacked at Real Madrid. Last season, despite playing 56 matches and putting up respectable stats (six goals, seven assists), he only started 23 times for the Merengues. A loan to Benfica would give him the opportunity to become an undisputed starter and continue his development.

However, Benfica is not alone in this pursuit. José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe is also very interested in the talented Moroccan, which could complicate negotiations.

Other Portuguese media outlets believe that Benfica has identified Brahim Díaz as the ideal replacement for João Félix. Having failed to sign the Portuguese international, who left for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, the Eagles quickly moved to find an alternative.
