After a tough semifinal against Senegal, the Atlas Lions managed to secure their spot in the final of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). Despite the immense joy that swept through the Moroccan squad, the players’ focus remained intact, as preparations for the final match began immediately. In this context, player Youssef Belammari made a statement, speaking about the team’s atmosphere and his concentration on the upcoming showdown.

Belammari, who was named the man of the match, emphasized the need to stay focused, highlighting the players’ determination to win the continental title.

“The atmosphere within the group is good, and the players didn’t celebrate this victory for long, as we are aware that a tough match awaits us in the final against Madagascar. The game won’t be easy for either team, and Insha’Allah, we will prepare well enough for this encounter. Our focus will be as strong as in all our matches. Insha’Allah, we will win the title so that our joy is complete and to make the Moroccan people happy.”

With this qualification, the Moroccan team is set to make history in the tournament final, where they will aim for a third title by facing Madagascar on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The final will take place in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, at 4:00 PM Moroccan time.
