For the 23rd matchday of the Greek championship, Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi scored a brace in Olympiakos’ dominant 4-0 victory over Panserraikos.
The Moroccan forward first found the net in the 20th minute after seeing his penalty saved by Katsikas, before slotting in the rebound. Seven minutes later, acting as a true poacher, he capitalized on a ball that bounced off the crossbar to score his second goal. A week after going goalless against Asteras Tripolis, El Kaabi regained his scoring touch and helped Olympiakos return to winning ways. Chiquinho (53′) and Gelson Martins (75′) also contributed to the emphatic win.
Thanks to this away victory, Olympiakos reclaims the top spot in the standings, two points ahead of AEK Athens. Meanwhile, Panserraikos remains stuck at 22 points.
With 15 goals and 3 assists in 23 matchdays, Ayoub El Kaabi is now the top scorer in the Super League, surpassing Spain’s Jefté Betancor (14 goals).
