Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi once again stood out during the 19th matchday of the Greek Super League, contributing to Olympiakos’ 2-1 victory over Atromitos at the Peristeri Stadium.

The Atlas Lions striker scored a magnificent header in the 23rd minute, converting a perfectly delivered cross from Portuguese João Costa (Costinha). This goal helped Olympiakos extend their lead to 2-0, following an earlier goal by Retsos in the 18th minute. Atromitos pulled one back through Karamanis in the 38th minute, but José Luis Mendilibar’s men managed to maintain their advantage until the final whistle.

With this new goal, Ayoub El Kaabi brings his total to 13 goals and 2 assists in the league this season. A performance that confirms his central role in Olympiakos’ attack.

In the standings, the Piraeus club remains at the top of the Super League with 43 points after 19 matches, ahead of their rivals Panathinaikos, who are second with 39 points. An exciting top-of-the-table clash is expected for the remainder of the season.
