AS FAR achieved a significant victory on Saturday night, defeating Maniema 2-0 at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknès during the 4th round of the CAF Champions League. Khalid Ait Ouarkhane opened the scoring in the 13th minute, and just before halftime, Amine Zouhzouh doubled the lead with a powerful free kick that beat the vigilance of the Congolese goalkeeper, Brudel Efonge Liyongo. The Military men controlled the match, preventing Maniema from finding space despite some dangerous counter-attacks.

This victory allows AS FAR to take the lead of Group B with 8 points, ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns (5 points), Raja Casablanca (4 points), and Maniema Union (3 points). With this win, AS FAR is closer to qualifying for the quarter-finals and confirms its status as a serious contender in this competition.
