    Anass Salah-Eddine rallies the team

After the match, Anass Salah-Eddine summarized a demanding evening against a solid and opportunistic Mali. Morocco had its moments but failed to ‘kill’ the game when it had the chance.

The player emphasized the volume of Moroccan chances and the need to be more decisive: “when we have an opportunity, we must capitalize on it and close out the match,” while reminding everyone of the goal to stay at the top of the group.

Most importantly, he made a direct appeal to supporters to maintain unity around the team: “stay with us… we will work hard and fight for you.” This was a way to close the chapter on Mali and move forward with a sharper focus.
