Nordin Amrabat made his first appearance with Hull City on Saturday, January 18, 2025, when he came on as a substitute in the away game win (0-1) against Millwall. The Moroccan player expressed his happiness with his debut game and the three precious points.

Nordin Amrabat said in a message to Hull City fans that he is happy with the victory and his debut, then he set a date for them on Tuesday where they await a difficult match against Queens Park Rangers, and his compatriot Ilias Chair. The official website of Hull City also published an interview yesterday in which the 37-year-old Moroccan player talked about his ambitions to achieve victories and bring his experience to the young teammates, and he revealed how the advice of the Ivorian star Didier Drogba helped him when he worked with him at Galatasaray in 2013. Amrabat was only 26 years old at that time, while Drogba was 37.

“I always try to help the young players, and I will do more than my best on the pitch and outside the pitch. For example, I worked with Didier Drogba at Galatasaray; he was a big player, and I appreciated the tips and information he passed on.”

Moroccan international also praised the fans and the team, and pointed out his good communication with the Spanish coach, Rubén Sellés.

“I already knew about Hull City from playing in the Premier League against the Tigers for Watford. I saw the last two games and I saw, first of all, that the fans were amazing. The team are well organised and are playing quite well. I spoke to Rubén [Rubén Sellés – coach of Hull City] about some situations, and he explained to me how he wants the wingers to play and press – it was a good conversation, and it was good for me to understand what he expects.”

“The main goal is to climb up the table and make the fans happy. I want to enjoy football, enjoy with my teammates. We want to celebrate some good wins and we will see where we will end, but that starts with taking it game by game.”
