Amine Harit’s future at Olympique de Marseille drifts further away. According to Foot Mercato, the Moroccan attacking midfielder will continue his career in Turkey with İstanbul Başakşehir, on a loan deal that includes a purchase option.
Excluded from the squad for the Champions League, Harit was no longer part of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans. Despite the summer transfer window being closed in the main European leagues, Marseille was looking for a way to ease their squad and give more playing time to the Moroccan international.
İstanbul Başakşehir, a club accustomed to European competitions, hopes to benefit from the experience and creativity of the Schalke 04-trained player. If the purchase option is exercised, Amine Harit would permanently close the Marseille chapter, where he is still under contract until 2027.
This move to Turkey therefore represents a new opportunity for him to revive his career in an environment where he could play a more prominent role.
