Bournemouth have made a big splash in the transfer market by signing Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen. The Moroccan international has committed to a five-year deal with the Cherries, who spent around €29 million to secure his services. He becomes the club’s seventh summer signing, underlining their ambition to take a step forward in the Premier League.

At 25, Adli arrives on England’s south coast with a strong reputation. Under Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen, he played 143 matches and contributed to the historic 2023-2024 season, highlighted by a Bundesliga-Cup double and an unbeaten league campaign. Delivering decisive performances, he notably finished as the top scorer in the DFB-Pokal, proving his ability to shine in crucial moments.

This transfer also represents a tactical boon for Andoni Iraola. Able to play as a playmaker, on the wing, or even in a supporting striker role, Adli brings valuable versatility. Since Bill Foley took charge of the club in early 2023, Bournemouth has been active in the transfer market, investing nearly €405 million in the squad.

For Amine Adli, this new chapter marks the continuation of a rapidly rising career. Trained at Toulouse and named Ligue 2 Player of the Year before moving to Germany in 2021, he made his international debut for Morocco in 2023 and has since earned fifteen caps. With Adli, Bournemouth secures a player who combines talent and experience, capable of becoming a key figure in the club’s long-term project.
