“We expect him to return to training next week. He’s on the right track, and we think he’ll come back sooner than expected. We hope to have him back with the team soon—slowly but surely,” said Xabi Alonso.

In that game, the Moroccan forward sustained a fractured left fibula following a rough and uncontrolled tackle by Brest defender Soumaïla Coulibaly.
