Amallah shines, but Valladolid falls in the Copa del Rey

A dramatic turnaround occurred in the Copa del Rey, where third-division side Ourense eliminated Real Valladolid 3-2. Despite a strong individual performance from Selim Amallah, who scored a goal and provided an assist, Valladolid failed to maintain their lead and were knocked out of the competition.

Struggling to stay in La Liga this season, Valladolid were the favorites against Ourense, who were second-to-last in the third division. The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute with a superb shot from Raúl Moro, perfectly set up by Amallah. However, Ourense quickly responded, equalizing two minutes later through Noriega Figueroa, a promising young talent.

Amallah regained the lead for his team in the 24th minute with an excellent goal, but Ourense’s reaction was swift. Ramos Santos equalized in the 32nd minute, before Ángel Sánchez put the hosts ahead in the 52nd minute, assisted by Noriega, who was everywhere throughout the match. Amallah played for 61 minutes before being replaced by Iván Sánchez, while Anuar Tuhami came on at the same time to replace Luis Pérez.
