Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, on loan from Stade Rennais to SC Amiens, is gradually making his mark within the Ligue 2 club. Loaned out by the Breton club to accumulate playing time and gain maturity, the young Lion of the Atlas and captain of the U17 national team is making an excellent start in professional football and is managing to fulfill what Stade Rennais hoped for from this loan.
The Moroccan central defender quickly demonstrated what he is capable of and why Stade Rennais recruited him last summer. Starting once again against FC Metz, after already playing against Rodez, Boudlal has showcased his talent and solidity. He surprises observers with his game intelligence, particularly in build-up play. The national team, which has some deficiencies in this area, could call on him in the future, but it seems a bit too early to entrust him with such a task so quickly, even though the player is under the watchful eye of the coach.
However, the player could take advantage of his new environment to gain experience and return to Brittany as soon as this summer, possibly to take a spot in central defense or, at the very least, gain playing time.
