The national coach, Hoalid Regragui, has decided to call up Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal to compensate for the absence of Nayef Aguerd, who is suffering from a groin injury and will miss Morocco’s next two friendly matches.
At just 19 years old, Aït Boudlal is already establishing himself as a starter at Stade Rennais, where he has been delivering solid performances in Ligue 1. He has one goal and one assist across all competitions this season. Absent from the last match against Paris FC due to an accumulation of yellow cards, the young defender is rejoining the Atlas Lions for this new gathering.
Morocco will face Mozambique on Friday, November 14, and then Uganda four days later at the Grand Stade de Tanger. These two matches will provide Aït Boudlal with the opportunity to continue his integration into the national team and further convince the coaching staff ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Morocco.
