The Moroccan U23 team will not play its friendly match against Equatorial Guinea, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, September 26. The cancellation of the match was announced by the organizing committee, without specifying the reasons for this decision.
This change in schedule does not affect the continuation of the preparation for the Atlas Cubs. Two other friendly matches are planned for early October. Morocco will first face Mali on Thursday, October 1, at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, before taking on Tanzania on Monday, October 5, at the Tangier Sports Village Stadium.
These two tests will allow the coaching staff to continue preparing the group ahead of the first official deadlines of the season. The goal is to arrive in the best conditions for the meeting in November.
The Moroccan U23s are indeed set to face Ethiopia in a double confrontation counting for the first round of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The final phase of the competition will take place in Egypt.
