Ilias Akhomach will join the Moroccan national team gathering. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced this Tuesday the call-up of the Moroccan winger to strengthen the Atlas Lions squad.
The player will thus complete the roster currently preparing at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora. Mohamed Ouahbi’s men are preparing for their next two matches in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, against Gabon on Friday, September 25 in Rabat, and then against Lesotho on September 29 in Bloemfontein.
This call-up allows Akhomach to return to the Moroccan selection during this international window, as the group began its preparation on Monday. The FRMF indicated that all called-up players participated in the first training session, except for Ismael Saibari and Achraf Hakimi, who are expected on Wednesday.
