After the failure of his move to West Ham, Anass Salah-Eddine is not expected to be reintegrated into the AS Roma squad. When asked about the situation of the Moroccan international, Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed that his sporting choices have already been made.
“Salah-Eddine had several opportunities that he refused. For Roma, I have already made my choices: he is not part of our plans,” the Italian coach stated during his press conference ahead of the match against Atalanta.
Gasperini’s comments come a few days after the failed attempt to move to West Ham. The English club wanted to sign the left-back in the final hours of the transfer window, but the player reportedly declined this destination. Salah-Eddine had also turned down a move to Olympiakos earlier in the summer.
Back in Rome after his loan at PSV Eindhoven, the Moroccan remains on the fringes of the sporting project. A departure is still possible to a league where the market is open, but in the absence of a new solution, Salah-Eddine may have to wait until the winter transfer window to revive his career.
