Eliesse Ben Seghir has returned to team training with Bayer Leverkusen after approximately a month and a half away. The Moroccan international, sidelined since July due to a thigh injury, is taking an important step in his recovery process.
The Atlas Lion can now continue his conditioning alongside his teammates. His return to collective training is an encouraging sign for Leverkusen, although the player will still need to regain his rhythm before officially resuming competition.
Ben Seghir could attempt to reintegrate into the squad for the upcoming match against Union Berlin. However, his presence is not yet guaranteed and will depend on his progress during the next training sessions as well as the assessment of the technical and medical staff.
After several weeks of individual work, the Moroccan is gradually getting closer to a return to the pitch. Leverkusen should, however, avoid rushing his comeback to minimize any risk of relapse.
