Othmane Maamma had another start with Watford on Tuesday night during the 4th round of the Championship. Starting on the pitch at Swansea City, the Moroccan international was unable to prevent the Hornets’ defeat (2-0).
Swansea quickly took control of the match thanks to Ji-sung Eom, who scored in the 8th minute. Adam Idah then doubled the lead in the 29th minute, allowing the Welsh team to head into the locker room with a two-goal advantage.
Starting in the offensive sector for Watford, Maamma played 65 minutes before being replaced by Rocco Vata. The Moroccan was unable to make a decisive impact in a match where his team never managed to come back.
Despite this difficult evening, this start confirms Maamma’s place in Watford’s rotation at the beginning of the season. The 20-year-old player continues his learning process in the Championship, where he is still searching for his first goal and first assist of the season.
