Bilal El Khannouss has definitively made a decision regarding his future. Announced as a target for several foreign clubs in recent weeks, the Moroccan international confirmed that he will continue his career at VfB Stuttgart. “I will stay. The decision has already been made,” he stated to BILD on Tuesday morning at the training center of the German club.
According to the German daily, El Khannouss has turned down approaches from all clubs interested in his services. The Stuttgart management has also been informed of his decision. The attacking midfielder arrived as planned at the training center at 9:30 AM, just hours before the transfer window closed.
Nottingham Forest, several English clubs, and Saudi teams had expressed their interest. Newcastle United had also considered signing him, while Galatasaray’s name had circulated earlier during the transfer window. However, none of these contenders managed to convince the Atlas Lion to leave Stuttgart.
Having been definitively signed by VfB after his loan from Leicester City, El Khannouss has a contract until June 2030, with no release clause. Stuttgart was demanding at least 60 million euros to consider his departure. After several weeks of uncertainty, the Moroccan can now fully focus on his season with the German club.
