Anis Soubeir could get playing time this Thursday, August 20, during AS Monaco’s away match against Górnik Zabrze in the first leg of the Conference League playoffs. According to L’Équipe, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder is among the young players likely to be used by Filipe Luís. However, his starting position is not confirmed.
The context may allow him to integrate into the Monaco rotation. Alexandre Golovine and Mamadou Coulibaly are suspended, while Matthis Abline remains uncertain due to a foot injury. Soubeir had already been a starter last Friday during the friendly match lost against Coventry (0-2).
The former FC Metz player had a promising preparation, concluding with two assists. He notably stood out against Liverpool (3-2) by delivering a corner that found Paris Brunner’s head at Anfield.
Arriving in Monaco in 2025 and under contract until June 2028, Soubeir can play on the right side, although his preferred position remains that of a number 10. His technical profile is reminiscent of Maghnes Akliouche. Called up with the Moroccan U20s last March, he could take a new step in his young career in Poland.
