Achraf Hakimi adds another trophy to his collection. Starting this Wednesday evening against Aston Villa, the Moroccan international contributed to Paris Saint-Germain’s victory (2-1) in the European Supercup, held at the Salzburg stadium in Austria.
PSG quickly took the lead thanks to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored a powerful shot in the 20th minute. However, Aston Villa equalized just before halftime through young Brian Madjo (45th), forcing the Parisians to attack again in the second half.
The breakthrough came from Désiré Doué in the 61st minute. Assisted by Ousmane Dembélé, the French international restored the advantage for the Parisian club. His goal, initially flagged offside, was ultimately awarded after a VAR intervention. Paris then withstood the final English offensives to maintain their lead.
Positioned on the right side of defense, Hakimi once again showcased his availability and speed in his corridor. The Atlas Lion played his first official match since returning from vacation after the World Cup and immediately reclaimed a starting spot in Luis Enrique’s eleven.
Having already won the competition last season against Tottenham, Hakimi thus retains the European Supercup with PSG. The Moroccan kicks off his 2026-2027 season ideally by adding another line to an already impressive trophy cabinet.
