Othmane Maamma continues his positive start to the season with Watford. Starting on Saturday against Crawley Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup, the Moroccan international contributed to the Hornets’ victory (1-0), securing qualification for the second round.
Fielded from the beginning, the Moroccan winger played 77 minutes before being replaced by Rocco Vata. Maamma was active in the offensive sector, creating several opportunities during the first half.
After being held at bay by Crawley Town for a long time, Watford finally broke through in stoppage time. Marc Bola scored the only goal of the match in the 90th+9 minute, allowing the Hornets to clinch their qualification.
A first step taken in the Carabao Cup for Maamma and his teammates, who will soon learn their opponent in the second round.
