Ibrahim Rabbaj continues his progress at Chelsea. The young Moroccan international was spotted training with the first team of the Blues, just days before the start of the club’s summer preparations.
This presence alongside the professional group marks a new step for the 17-year-old attacking midfielder, considered one of the promising talents from Chelsea’s academy. It allows him to work under the guidance of Xabi Alonso and to compete with several players from the professional squad.
However, Rabbaj will not participate in the preparation tour organized in Australia and Asia. His name is not included in the group of 28 players officially selected for the trip, during which Chelsea is set to face the Western Sydney Wanderers and Tottenham in Sydney.
This absence does not undermine the confidence placed in him by the London club. Arriving at Chelsea from Crystal Palace when he was playing in the under-12s, Ibrahim Rabbaj signed his first professional contract last January. He is now tied to the Blues until 2028.
The young Moroccan is expected to continue his preparation in England and keep developing with the youth teams, while remaining on the radar of the professional staff. His recent sessions with the first team reflect his gradual integration into the highest level environment.
