The 17-year-old Moroccan midfielder shone on Thursday night during Ajax Amsterdam’s victory over FK Vojvodina (4-1) in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. Coming on in the second half, the Atlas Lion cub provided a superb assist to Mohamed Abdalla, who scored Ajax’s fourth goal in stoppage time.
This first European appearance with Ajax’s first team will remain etched in the young Moroccan’s memory for a long time. In just 18 minutes on the pitch, Ouazane immediately demonstrated why he is considered one of the biggest hopes in Moroccan football and the Amsterdam academy.

The attacking midfielder recorded one assist, achieved 82% passing accuracy, won 4 of his 5 duels, completed 100% of his dribbles, made 3 contacts in the opponent’s box, and executed 2 tackles. A very convincing entry that confirms his technical quality, personality, and ability to make a difference in the final third.
Crowned African U17 champion and named best player of the U17 AFCON with Morocco, Abdellah Ouazane continues his rapid ascent. This performance could allow him to gain more playing time under Míchel Sánchez, as Ajax has taken a serious option on qualification ahead of the return match scheduled for next Thursday at the Johan Cruyff ArenA.
