Ismael Saibari will wear the number 34 under the colors of Bayern Munich. A few days after his arrival from PSV Eindhoven, the Moroccan international has chosen to keep the number that has accompanied him for several seasons and to which he is particularly attached.
This choice is primarily a tribute to Abdelhak Nouri, a former talent of Ajax Amsterdam. In 2017, the Dutch midfielder suffered a serious cardiac incident during a friendly match, a tragedy that shook the football world. The number 34 was the one he wore with the Amsterdam club.
Asked by the official media of Bayern Munich, Saibari explained the reasons for this decision: “I wear the number 34 to support Abdelhak Nouri. It was his last number and I want to pay tribute to him.”
