Couhaib Driouech keeps the Atlas Lions in the back of his mind. In an interview with Voetbal International, the Moroccan winger spoke about his ambition to wear the Moroccan jersey and participate in the World Cup, a goal that means a great deal to him and his family.
When asked about a possible call-up to the national team, Driouech chose to remain cautious while clearly expressing his dream. “I don’t know if I am in the national coach’s plans, but I have to give my all. Then we will see. Playing for Morocco is a dream for me and for my whole family,” the player shared.
His next appointment could be significant. PSV Eindhoven will face FC Twente on the final day of the championship, a match during which Driouech hopes to gain playing time to showcase himself one last time before the announcement of the squad. Every minute could count in his desire to convince the national coach to include him among the 26 players selected for the World Cup.
For Driouech, the priority remains to continue working hard and seize every opportunity. Attached to the Moroccan colors, the former Excelsior player now dreams of taking a step forward by joining the Atlas Lions for the grand global event.
