The Morocco U17 team officially kicks off its Africa Cup of Nations campaign this Wednesday, May 13, 2026, with a Maghreb showdown against Tunisia, as part of the first day of the group stage. As the host nation and defending champion, Morocco begins this new campaign with the ambition of making a strong start in front of its home crowd.

The match will take place at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with a kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM Moroccan time. For supporters in France, the match will start at 9:00 PM due to the time difference between Morocco and France. In Tunisia, the kickoff will also be at 8:00 PM.

This first encounter already represents an important test for the Atlas Cubs. Facing a Tunisian team that is always competitive in youth categories, the Moroccans will need to quickly get into the match to ideally launch their journey in this U17 AFCON hosted at home.

The Morocco–Tunisia match will be broadcast live for free on CAF TV, the official YouTube channel of the African Football Confederation. This is a great opportunity for Moroccan supporters, both in Europe and in Morocco, to follow the Lions’ debut in this continental competition.

Placed in Group A, the young Moroccans know that a victory on the first day would give them an important early advantage in the race for qualification. In front of their home crowd, they will be eager to confirm their status and start their title defense on a strong note.
