The Moroccan national team now knows its preparation schedule ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The Atlas Lions will play three friendly matches between May 26 and June 7, starting with a closed-door match, followed by two open fixtures.
The first test will take place on May 26, 2026, against Burundi at the Mohammed VI Football Complex. This match will be held behind closed doors, allowing the technical staff to work away from external pressure and make initial adjustments before continuing their preparation.
Morocco will then follow up with a second friendly match against Madagascar, scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. This match is expected to give Moroccan supporters a chance to see the Atlas Lions before the start of the World Cup.
Finally, the Atlas Lions will conclude their preparation with a match against Norway on June 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM local time, at the Red Bull Arena in New York, USA. This final encounter will provide Morocco with an interesting European opposition before entering the competition.
