It was a night of two halves for Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan international found the back of the net on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Mohammed V Complex during the Wydad – AS FAR Clasico (a postponed match from the 9th round), before leaving the pitch due to injury.
After the Military’s opening goal from an own goal by Walid Sebbar (19th minute), Ziyech equalized for Wydad with a classy move: a feint, cutting into the center, and a left-footed shot from outside the box to level the score (28th minute).
However, the outcome was unfavorable for WAC. Upon returning from the break, AS FAR regained the lead thanks to Youssef El Fahli, who finished a well-coordinated team move with composure, securing a 2-1 victory. In the standings, AS FAR rises to 25 points (3rd), while Wydad remains in 2nd place with 26 points.
The main concern now is Ziyech’s condition: The Atlas Lion was injured during a tackle, remained on the ground before getting up while holding the back of his thigh, and had to exit grimacing in the 56th minute. The first medical diagnosis is now awaited.
