The 12th matchday of the Greek Super League was decisive for Olympiacos. Playing away at Panetolikos, the Red and Whites secured a valuable victory with a narrow score of 0-1. The only goal of the match was scored by Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi. His opportunistic strike allowed his team to win away from home, once again confirming his crucial role at the forefront of the attack for the Piraeus club in the title race.

The breakthrough came in the second half, in the 70th minute. After a well-constructed phase of play, midfielder Yazici delivered an excellent cross into the penalty area. Without hesitation, Ayoub El Kaabi emerged at the right moment to head the ball perfectly, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance. This goal, marked by efficiency and anticipation, rewarded Olympiacos’s patience and sealed the fate of the match in their favor.

Thanks to this crucial victory, Olympiacos firmly consolidates its position at the top of the Super League standings. With this success, the Piraeus club now totals 31 points. Ayoub El Kaabi’s teammates thus gain a two-point lead over the defending champion, PAOK Thessaloniki. Additionally, they maintain a three-point distance from their major rival, AEK Athens, who occupies the third spot on the podium.

Ayoub El Kaabi, for his part, continues to rack up goals. With this latest achievement, he brings his total to 10 goals scored in the league. Adding his performances on the European stage, his overall statistics now stand at 12 goals and 2 assists across all competitions, making him one of the most prolific and indispensable strikers for the Greek team.
