Olympiacos reclaimed the top spot in the standings after an away victory over Panetolikos with a scoreline of 0-2, moving two points clear of their rival Panathinaikos, where Ounahi plays. Ayoub El Kaabi also strengthened his lead in the Greek league’s top scorers’ rankings.

Olympiacos players approached this match knowing that victory was their only option, given the intense competition from Panathinaikos, who had temporarily taken the lead yesterday after their win against PAOK. However, the task was far from easy for Ayoub El Kaabi and his teammates, as they managed to break the deadlock only in stoppage time of the first half through a penalty, expertly converted by El Kaabi, bringing his tally to twelve league goals this season.

El Kaabi played 85 minutes before being substituted by Roman Yaremchuk, but the score remained unchanged, securing three valuable points for the visitors. After 17 rounds in the Super League, Olympiacos leads with a total of 37 points, ahead of Panathinaikos (35 points) and AEK Athens (34 points).
